I have played this song for my brown eyed Grandma an innumerable amount of times, but on this occasion I improvised some more personal lyrics in the third verse. I don't really know why...or where they came from exactly, but it was an emotional performance for me and I like them, so they've become 'the' words, well, to me at least.
This recording is from the late afternoon we spent together when I played for her for the last time. It was the same afternoon where I recorded 'Terrible Recordings S1E6 Young At Heart (for Grandma)', as a matter of fact. This recording is far more precious to me, however. This could very well be the most important thing my insane voice recordings have ever captured. Her last word on recording. "Yes".
